I remember a time where I’ve used a basic Logitech combo for my peripherals for my gaming set-up. I thought it was sufficient and skills are what truly matters, not the accessories. It was only when I got the first mechanical keyboard that I realized how wrong I was.
Having a mechanical keyboard was a breakthrough in my skill. Every keystroke has feedback and feels so much more comfortable in my hand. So here are the top 5 gaming keyboards that could really elevate your gaming experience.
1. Razer BlackWidow elite
Price: $169USD, $279.90SGD | Switches: Razer Green, Yellow, Orange.
The first in our list and the top gaming keyboard of 2018, the Razer BlackWidow Elite is the love child of the Huntsman Elite and the BlackWidow Chroma. They now feature a dual sidewall to increase stability for their mechanical switches and has an 80 million keystroke lifespan. This Gaming keyboard has a media dial which functions can be customized using Sypnase 3, a software that is provided for free by Razer. The Razer BlackWidow Elite is definitely pricier than the rest of our other options. However, for anybody who owns a Razer, you’ll understand that Razer’s products are meant to last.
Therefore, the performance, durability, and features are the reasons why the iconic Razer keyboard takes the top place on our list.

2. HyperX Alloy Elite RGB
Price: $119USD, $215SGD | Switches: Cherry MX Blue, Red, Brown.
The runner-up in our list, the HyperX Alloy Elite RGB has an amazing design. At the top right you have a nice-looking volume wheel, and the overall build is sturdy. It also has a nice RGB strip at the top for some extra lighting. However, the design is not what got them on this list. It is with their additional features such as a USB pass-through which makes it more convenient when connecting additional gadgets. As well as, onboard memory for 3 RGB profiles, which can be controlled with a button on the top left. Go ahead and set your profiles and switch it up as you change your game. They also have a key to disable windows when gaming, which makes it so much more convenient. Thus, it is clearly justifiable for it to place second in our list.

3. Roccat Vulcan 120 Aimo
Price: $355.99 USD (Newegg) | Switches: Titan switch
The Vulcan has the most unique design of the keyboards, with their futuristic look and custom keycaps. However, it isn’t only the design that won them their seat at the table. The third top gaming keyboard in our list has everything a gamer needs from their gaming keyboards such as mechanical switches and a volume wheel. The custom keycaps are surprisingly well-built and easy to game with. Even without gaming, it is still one of the easiest ‘gaming’ keyboards to do some typing on. The only drawback about this keyboard would be its rarity, which in turn makes it more pricey. If you are able to get your hands on it for retail price, you won’t regret owning the third top gaming keyboard of 2018.
